Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This service is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information here, or returned by a linked third-party tool, may not be used to make a decision about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose governed by the FCRA.
How Current Is Information?
Record entries can be corrected, websites and fees can change, collections can move, and digitization coverage can expand. We aim to keep the reference useful, but no information is guaranteed complete, accurate, or current at every moment. Confirm a detail with the office or repository that holds the underlying record before relying on it.
Not Legal Advice
Nothing provided here is legal advice. The service points to record sources and describes common research paths for Cortlandt. A website does not replace advice from a qualified attorney.
Lawful Personal Use
Public records support transparency and historical research, not harm. Do not use information reached through this service to stalk, harass, intimidate, or injure a person. Misuse of identifying information may violate New York and federal law and also violates the Terms of Use.
Third-Party Search Features
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by third-party companies. We do not control their results, costs, availability, or handling of submitted information. Their output is not an FCRA-compliant consumer report.
Links to Other Sources
The service links to assessor and recorder resources, election tools, court systems, library and archive collections, and comparable official sources. We are not responsible for an external page's information, security, accuracy, or availability.
No Official Files Here
Cortlandt Residents Directory does not hold a government roll, directory volume, court file, or vital record. It points researchers to the offices, repositories, and portals that do. Requests to obtain, verify, correct, or certify a record must go to that custodian.
