Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that operates the results function. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site may receive routine log information such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregated technical information to operate, secure, and understand use of the service. Cookies or similar tools may support ordinary analytics and, when present, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Technical data helps maintain the service, investigate errors, measure page traffic, and improve useful content. We do not create visitor profiles or sell lists of site visitors.

Safeguards and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Technical logs are kept only for the period reasonably needed for the operational purposes described in this policy. Since the service has no user accounts, it does not keep visitor passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent us information so it can be addressed.
Choices and Requests
Visitors may have rights under applicable law to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information a service holds. Because Cortlandt Residents Directory keeps very little, a request will ordinarily involve checking the contact mailbox and available technical logs, then removing information that can be identified. Public records held by New York, Westchester County, or Town custodians are not controlled here; requests about those records must be directed to the custodian under the applicable law, including New York Freedom of Information Law, Public Officers Law Article 6, sections 84 through 90.
